Mid-Year Very Merry Book Giveaway: Like a Winter Snow

Next up in the Mid-Year Very Merry Book Giveaway was a big hit last year! I thoroughly enjoyed this story set within a Christmas-time wedding in England. Be still my romantic heart. I also love that there is a lot of snow. I grew up in Florida and now reside in Texas. The idyllic white Christmases depicted in movies and greeting cards were not my reality! But, oh, it’s sure on my bucket list. What I wouldn’t give to wake up just one Christmas morning to a snowy scene outside frosty windows and snuggle up in front of a crackling fireplace. Swoon!

For now, I’ll settle for the gorgeous scenery of Like a Winter Snow, the Christmas story from author Lindsay Harrel.

ABOUT LIKE A WINTER SNOW

Available on Amazon

Cozy up with this charming and uplifting romance all about unexpected love, true friendship, and family loyalty. Set during a Christmas-time wedding among the falling snow, this sweet story will warm your heart.

Women’s counselor Joy Beckman has always been a friend and helper to all. That’s why she’s given up everything to be with her parents as her mother suffers through Alzheimer’s. Joy may not have a thriving career or a love life at the moment, but she’s doing what she does best—taking care of others. And even though it’s difficult, she knows it’s where she is supposed to be.

But life throws a curveball when she has to leave her parents temporarily to travel to Cornwall, England, for the December wedding of her best friend. While there, Joy helps Sophia tackle her last-minute to-do list, and in the process, finally meets a man who turns her head—and her heart. The only problem? He lives in snowy London, and her life is with her parents back in sunny Florida.

She tries to resist Oliver Lincoln’s charms, but it’s harder than it should be. With her heart torn in two, Joy is forced to choose between a life she knows she’s meant for and the one she didn’t see coming.

  1. No white Christmas here in SC. 😟 It’s very pretty here during the holiday season, but we’ve never had snow. We very rarely get snow & if so it’s in January or February.

  2. One year when we were traveling to my grandparents’ home in Minnesota, it snowed so much we got stuck in a tiny town and had to spend the night in the only open building: the laundromat! That was a VERY white Christmas!

  3. I have lived in Northern Illinois, North Dakota, and North Wisconsin almost to the UP! ( among many other places) I have seen feet of snow for Christmas! Spent 4 years on Guam with NO snow!

  4. Many white Christmases in Alaska, Japan, Virginia, & Connecticut. Could never quite get used to Santa in a tropical shirt & on a surfboard in Hawaii & Florida! 😎

  5. Christmas 2017, I lived in Colorado Springs. It was my first and only one. My part of Texas doesn’t receive much snow. 🙂

  6. I have this eBook so if I would win I would give to my sister who reads probably as much as I do and loves Christmas stories too. I have only seen one white Christmas while living in the south for, at least, 32 years of the past 40 years since I first stepped out of the plane in New Orleans in 1980!
