Today is June 25. That means there is only six months until Christmas, my friends! I have no shame in loving Christmas 365-days a year. But there’s something fun about giving a nod to the festive season in July when the summer sun is beating down on us and December feels a lifetime away.
This July, I will be celebrating all month long with a Mid-Year Very Merry Book Giveaway! Me and more than a dozen of my Christian fiction author friends have joined forces and will be giving away copies of our favorite Christmas books. These will be eBooks, so I’m excited to say it’s open to US and International readers!!! The month will wrap up with a cover reveal and pre-order launch of the Christmas novella collection I’m a part of that releases in October! I love absolutely everything about Christmas! Ok…maybe not cleaning up after cooking the big dinner, but other than that, everything! The chilly weather, spicy smells, family, jammies, anticipation…gah!!! It needs to be here. LOL

What I like best about Christmas is our candlelight service on Christmas Eve. The Church is packed. I love remembering our Savior’s birth and subsequently, His death for us.

My favorite part of Christmas is the two-month-long atmosphere of celebration. Almost immediately after Halloween, I start preparing for all the special things — the decorating, the special foods, the Christmas movies, the Christmas novellas, the Christmas music, everything! I usually decorate our Christmas tree on Election Day (a way to keep me from sinking into depression)! Putting up the twinkle lights and sipping a cup of hot cocoa puts me in that Christmas atmosphere (usually), snow or not.

My favorite part is traditionally cutting our tree and making Christmas cookies, but it’s shifted to just really enjoying seeing and experiencing Christmas through the eyes of my niece and nephew. ❤

My favourite thing about Christmas is… Well, everything! From staying up until midnight on Christmas eve to open presents to waking up to the smell of a roast leg of lamb cooking to spending the morning reading the Christmas story with my immediate family and then spending the day with extended family. It’s such a special time of year✨.
